Professor Semple’s research focuses on program development, evaluation, dissemination and support for clinic-based and school-based mindfulness interventions to treat post-traumatic distress, mood and anxiety disorders, promote mental health, and cultivate social-emotional resilience in children, adolescents and adults.
Collaborative research project
Noting that 14% of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n children aged 4 to 17 experience a mental health problem each year, the primary focus of Professor Semple’s research project is to contribute to, and extend, research to explore ways in which teachers can contribute to the social-emotional learning, mental health and wellbeing, and improve early interventions for students in schools.
