Expertise
As an expert on qualitative research methods, Dr Elliott’s primary research interest is in the relationship between the teaching, learning, and assessment of literature, and the society in which these activities take place. Her current research argues that broadening students’ curriculum to include more authors of colour is beneficial for all children and also has the potential to improve social cohesion.
Collaborative research project
Dr Elliot will collaborate with ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide researchers to investigate how students experience reading lists (at school and university) in relation to their understanding of diversity and inclusion and their sense of belonging.
