To support your successduring your time at the Ӱֱ of Adelaide, we are pleased to provide all students with the below technology resources.

Setting Up your Digital Essentials

  • ✓ Your Ӱֱ of Adelaide Account


    Every student is provided with a Ӱֱ account. You will use this account to access all Ӱֱ IT resources.Your account is in the format of your student number followed by@adelaide.edu.aue.g. a1234567@adelaide.edu.au

    To activate your account, you will need to know your student number. When you are ready to activate,click here.

    Please note that as part of the account activation process, you will be prompted to set up Multi Factor Authentication, which you can read more about below.

  • ✓ Multi Factor Authentication


    You will be prompted to set up Multi Factor Authentication when activating your Ӱֱ account.This adds an extra layer of security to your account to protect both you and the Ӱֱ.

    You can use the Ӱֱ’s OKTA Verify app, your preferred authentication app including Google Authenticate, Microsoft Authenticator, or Apple Passwords.

  • ✓ Email Address


    Your Ӱֱ email address will be the same as your Ӱֱ account username
    e.g. a1234567@adelaide.edu.au

    You can set up this email account on your personal devices using Microsoft Outlook, or your preferred application/s.

  • ✓ Ӱֱ Wireless Network (Internet/WiFi)


    You can access the internet on campus by connecting to the Ӱֱ’s WiFi network from your personal devices, including laptop, phone and tablet.

    To connect, select the UofAnetwork from the list of wireless networks and log in using your Ӱֱ account.Alternatively, open the Quick Connect Tool on the device you want to connect by

    Microsoft 365 (Office)

    Current students have free access to all key Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint and Forms, as well as OneDrive where you can store files.

    You can access the applications online or install the software locally on your device/s.

    EndNote

    Endnote is the Ӱֱ's recommended reference managementapplication. To request your free licence .

    Qualtrics

    All students are able to create surveys using the Qualtrics platform. To access your account , and login with your Ӱֱ account.

    Adobe Creative Cloud

    Adobe provides significantly discounted Creative Cloud subscriptions to students and teachers, which you can see by.

    Zoom

    All students have access to a Zoom account. To access your Zoom account, and log in with your Ӱֱ account.

    LinkedIn Learning

    All students at the Ӱֱ of Adelaide have unlimited access to an extensive range of free online learning videos to support professional and personal skills development. To access LinkedIn Learning,.

    Specialised Software

  • Printing


    All students are provided with $18 of free printing every six months (periods begin 1 January and 1 July). You can see a list of printing costs byclicking here. Students can top up their quota if needed once they have used their $18 quota by clicking here.

    To print a document your device will need to be connected to the Ӱֱ's WiFi network, and you will need to print to theFollow-You-Print-Q.On the nearest printer you can then scan your Student ID card or login using your Ӱֱ account to release the print job.

  • File Storage

    OneDrive

    Students can store files on OneDrive using their Microsoft 365 account.To access your account, thenlog in with your Ӱֱ account.

    Box

    All current students are able to store files on the Box platform. To access your account and login with your Ӱֱ account.

  • Ӱֱ Computer Suites

    There are a number of Student Computer Suites available across the Ӱֱ of Adelaide for students who need to use a computer.

  • Remote Access to the Ӱֱ's Network

    Students can connect to a Ӱֱ computer from their personal device using ADAPT.

    Your student number, also known as your a number or student id numberwill be included in the welcome email sent to you by the Ӱֱ of Adelaide after you have accepted your offer.

    Enrolled students can request their new card to be issued, or a lost or stolen card to be replaced, by contacting Ask Adelaide.
