Using the Archives

The Archives contains the non-current administrative records of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ that are worthy of permanent preservation.

About the collection

The collection dates from the establishment of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ in 1874 and includes ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Council and committee minutes, Elder Conservatorium records, early student and staff records, as well as a number of private donations that provide an insight into life at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥. There are also records from student clubs and societies and related institutions including:

  • Roseworthy Agricultural College
  • Waite Agricultural Research Institute
  • Adelaide Teachers College
  • the South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n College of Advanced Education.

Information for researchers

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Archives is open to all ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ staff, students and the general public. An appointment is required to access the collection. Appointments to view archives collection material must be made in advance. Our opening hours for appointments are Tuesday to Friday, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

Records older than 30 years are generally available to the public. However, some access restrictions apply due to provisions of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ , restrictions on private deposit items or the fragile nature of the records.
