Professor Alan Collins awarded the SW Carey Medal
IMER congratulates Professor Alan Collins, Department of Earth Sciences, on this well deserved recognition.
The SW Carey Medal is awarded by the Geological Society of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ 'to a person distinguished in the field of tectonics (sensu latu)'.
Professor Collins said "I'm really honoured with this award as Carey is one of those larger than life characters who has left an incredible legacy. As well asÌýletting you know about about the award, I want to thank you as my colleagues for the support friendship and camaraderie that you have provided. It’s what makes Adelaide Uni pretty special and I think this allows us all to achieve quite amazing things."
