  • Biography/ Background

    Wendy has  20 years experience working in veterinary practice in South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥. Her experience includes seven years in rural mixed animal practice, followed by a combination of emergency afterhours, locum and regular part time work. Creating and contributing to a positive team based work culture to meet organisation goals is something that Wendy has always embraced with enthusiasm.

    She has been responsible for developing and coordinating extramural animal husbandry and clinical placements for veterinary students in addition to supporting animal science students gain work base learning experiences.

    Preparing students for the realities of the "world of work" and professional life, instilling an interest in lifelong learning. Transfer of skills learned at ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ into the workplace. Ensuring students get the most out of their workplace learning opportunities and making learning relevant. Incorporating authentic assessment into the curriculum. Ensuring students are career ready. Facilitating team based learning activities. Helping students develop professional support networks.
