Teaching Interests
Lisa is a teaching specialist academic. She teaches law at both the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide and the Univerity of South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥.
Teaching areas
Lisa's main teaching areas are criminal law and public law. At Adelaide Law School Lisa teaches:
- LAW 2599 Criminal Law;
- LAW 3610 Selected Issues in Criminal Law and Procedure;
- LAW 3502 Evidence and Advocacy;
- LAW 3535 Media Law.
At the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Lisa teaches:
- LAWS 2030 Criminal Law and Procedure;
- LAWS 3082 Advanced Criminal Law;
- LAWS 2008 Constitutional Law;
- LAWS 4003 Evidence;
- LAWS 1032 Torts; and
- LAWS 3006 Administrative Law.
Executive roles
Lisa is the Program Director of the Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥. She is a member of the Adelaide ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ / UniSA Program Directors Network and the UniSA Justice & Society Teaching and Learning Strategy Group.
Communities of practice and teaching and learning groups
Lisa is the co-convenor of the UniSA and Uni of Adelaide GenAI and Law Community of Practice. She is a member of the Adelaide ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Artificical Intelligence User Reference Group, UniSA Justice & Society Belonging Community of Practice, UniSA Authentic Assessment Design Lab, Neurodiversity at UniSA, and the Council of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Librarians (CAUL) OER Collective Academic Authors Community of Practice.
Teaching and learning projects
Lisa's main teaching and learning scholarship areas include authentic assessment, artificial intelligence, accessibility, and student engagement (see 'research funding' and 'publications' below).

Research Interests
Lisa's research interests include criminal law and procedure, public law, and legal education.
Lisa is completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Her thesis 'The Integrity of the Plea' examines the legitimacy of the early guilty plea in the resolution of criminal matters, as an alternative to a contested criminal trial.
