  • Biography/ Background

    Duygu joined the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide in 2007 after completing her PhD in Economics from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Rochester in Rochester, USA. She was a visiting scholar at Seoul National ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ in 2013 and 2017. She has received ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide, Women's Research Excellence Awards 2017. She was Acting Head of School of Economics (August 2016-Jan2017) and currently, Deputy Head of School. She is a co-founder/ executive member of the Women in Economics Network ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, executive member of SA branch of  Economic Society of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, Faculty Diversity and Inclusion committee member, and Indigenous students mentor. She launched and directs the Women in Economics-Career program for students at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide. Her research is in designing fair methods of allocating resources in economics and she is an active advocator of diversity and inclusion in economics.
