Valued at $12,250 each for study at one of Asia’s leading universities, the Westpac Asian Exchange Scholarship is designed to develop your leadership skills, expand your global networks, and create an authentic cultural experience. The scholarship starts with a one-week overseas residential program in Singapore to help prepare you for your exchange and connect with ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n-Asian leaders.

Exchange scholarship information session
You are invited to an online information session for the Westpac Asian Exchange Scholarship at 5:00pm (AEDT) on Wednesday, 18 October 2023. The information session will include eligibility criteria, funding guidelines, key attributes of a Westpac Scholar and tips to complete your application.
You will also hear from previous recipients of this scholarship and how it has helped them personally and professionally. There will be time for a Q&A to answer any questions you may have.

"After discovering a passion for Japanese in high school, I imagined what an exchange experience in Japan would be like. The Westpac Asian Exchange Scholarship helped me realise this goal and accomplish so much more.
Since I was awarded my Scholarship in 2021, I’ve had the opportunity to create unique connections with my fellow Asian Exchange scholars and the W100 network during the Scholars Summit, state events and at the Leadership Development Residential in Singapore. Our time in Singapore is one of my fondest memories from my scholarship: a week filled with invaluable insights from leading experts in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥-Asia relations, sunsets spent connecting with my cohort whilst exploring Singaporean streets, and of course, laughing and conversing over delicious local dinners. Singapore was only the beginning of a transformative period abroad, where the opportunity to travel on a Westpac Scholarship allowed me to explore more of Asia than I had ever imagined, awarding me with greater perspective, awareness and appreciation for the countries and cultures I experienced. I don’t think I was prepared for the welcoming nature and kindness of locals, nor for the beauty of the natural landscapes on my doorstep, wherever I went.
I had the opportunity to meet many incredible people at [Kansai] ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ and throughout my travels, returning home with meaningful connections and friends from around the globe. My exchange was the adventure of a lifetime, and one I encourage everyone to experience."
