50 regional and remote schools embark on a mission to uncover new insect species

Fifty regional and remote schools across South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, Queensland and Western ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ have been selected to take part in a new citizen science project, Insect Investigators, led by the South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Museum and supported by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide.

Insect expert Dr Erinn Fagan-Jeffries from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide’s School of Biological Sciences, has thrown her support behind a new mission launched by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Academy of Science’s Taxonomy ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, to discover and document all unknown ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n species by 2050.

School students discover four new species of wasp

One of the four new wasp species discovered and named, Choeras ramcomamorata

Four primary schools in regional South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ have been involved in the discovery and naming of new species of wasp as part of a trial of a new citizen science project led by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide.
