In a study published in , researchers at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide compared the illegal smuggling of live reptiles – including lizards, snakes and turtles – into ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, to the unregulated pet trade of reptiles in the United States (US), to understand better the drivers of illegal wildlife trade, and develop a framework for anticipating future trends in wildlife smuggling.
