Piers Lincoln (IPAS, ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide), Professor Tanya Monro AC (Chief Defence Scientist, Department of Defence), and Dushy Tissa (Northrop Grumman ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥).

IPAS participated in the first Defence Trailblazer (DTB) Technical & Capability Conference, DTECH25, held in Canberra last week. The event brought together Defence, industry, and academia to advance technologies that will support future sovereign capabilities for the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Defence Force.

Institute Manager Piers Lincoln represented IPAS and its industry collaborations, including the specialty fibre project led by member Dr Erik Schartner in partnership with Northrop Grumman. Other IPAS-DTB projects featured at the conference included Quantum Sensors with TeraGlo, Quantum Clocks with QuantX Labs, and the Photonics Technologist Short Course with Photonics Industries ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Ltd.

The conference highlighted the role of technical innovation and collaboration in developing critical capabilities for Defence, reinforcing IPAS's contributions to this national effort.
