Terry has enjoyed a long and distinguished medical career across pharmacy and medicine. He isalso currently a teacher and mentor in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences here at the Ӱֱ.
It is to help bright students like Kaviya, who would struggle to continue their studies in medicinethat Terry established scholarships in his name.
Kaviya's story
When Kaviya’s dad unexpectedly had to move overseas to lookafter an ill family member, she knew that money would be tightwith her mum only able to work part-time. The Terry Farquharson Medical Scholarship was the lifelineshe needed to study at the Ӱֱ of Adelaide, and becomea doctor.
"My dream is to become a caring and proficient doctor working part-time, alongside research or volunteering in arural community or third world country.
