Eureka prize for innovation in citizen science

Congratulations to Dr. Erinn Fagan-Jeffries
has won the 2024 Eureka Prize for Innovation in Citizen Science. This prestigious award honors the remarkable work in involving the community in biodiversity discovery and taxonomy. Through the Insect Investigators project, she has effectively partnered schools with taxonomists to uncover and describe new local species.
Since 2019, students have named 17 new insect species across ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ through this multi-state, school-based program.
