Young Leader wins at Young Achiever Awards

We are delighted that School of Biological Sciences PhD graduate,Ìý, was awarded the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide STEM Award in this year's .


Following her graduation from ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ in 2016 with a Bachelor of Sciences (Advanced), Nicole then went on to complete her PhD in Environmental Sciences in 2021.

Nicole's PhD research involved developing a molecular approach to analyse environmental DNA buried in the sediment record, uncovering historical changes that have occurred within coastal plant communities in South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥. This work informs the adaptability and resilience of these important habitats to climate change.

Nicole was also a participant in the 2020 Early Career Leadership Development program run by the Environment Institute.
