ARTS 4001 - Graeme Hugo South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Government Internship

Professor Graeme Hugo AO was an ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n demographer, academic and geographer. He served as the Director of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Migration and Population Research Centre at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide. He passed away on 20 January 2015. In honour of Professor Hugo, The South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Government has established an annual scholarship, commencing in 2016 for three years. The scholarship includes an internship with a Government Department that contributes to the coursework component of the recipient's Honours degree. During the internship, the successful recipient will undertake a project identified by the Government Department with advice from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide. The identified project will be of value to the Government and will count towards the recipient's qualification. Research projects are identified in the areas of geography, population policy or similar discipline that aligns with Professor Hugo's research interest.
