This beautiful stained-glass window by artist Edith A Lungley was commissioned by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide in memory of Thorburn Brailsford Robertson (1884-1930), Professor of Biochemistry and General Physiology at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide.

Robertson championed biochemistry and was the first professor of the subject in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥. He pioneered the production of insulin in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, with insulin first produced by his research team in the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide's Darling Building in 1923.

Edith Lungley trained in glass painting at the Royal College of Art, London. Her artwork, which uses Christian imagery, is situated in the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s Mitchell Building and can be viewed from the back stairwell.
