Art & Heritage Collections
Members of the public can support the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide's cultural collections by purchasing a beautifully packaged folio of eight gift cards specially produced by the Friends of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide Library and Art & Heritage Collections. The cards feature four illustrations from George French Angas's South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Illustrated. Angas painted some of the earliest views of South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, and in 1847 he oversaw the printing in London of the magnificent South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Illustrated, which has served ever since as a snapshot of South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ in 1844. This work is part of the Sir Samuel Way Bequest - the largest single contribution of books to the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide Library. The gift packs sell for $20 (GST inclusive).
